Events

Musical theatre relies on collaboration.

A key part of what we do at MTN is creating the opportunities where like-minded people can come together to talk, plot, share and network. We run a diverse programme of training and networking events, where practical sessions are led by key industry professionals and followed by informal networking opportunities. We organise round-tables, seminars, Q&A sessions, drop-in meetings, feedback sessions, scratch nights, social gatherings and talks for MTN Members which cover a wide range of topics. Our most recent events have included discussions focusing on; workshopping new musicals, funding opportunities, directing musical theatre, negotiating contracts, touring new musicals, ‘Wearing Multiple Hats’, musicals at the Edinburgh Fringe, theatre tax relief, songwriting and composing new musicals.

Our events are free for Individual & Student MTN members to attend (unless specified) and for Organisational, Venue and College MTN Members, staff and students can attend. Space permitting, non-members can attend MTN events for a fee of £10. We live-stream and record our events where possible for our members – so don’t worry if you’re unable to attend a particular event,  as filming and audio details can be available to MTN members.

We hope to see you at an MTN event soon.
